Announcement of the 89th Edition of Know India Programme (KIP)

The Consulate General of India, Saint-Denis, Réunion Island invites applications for the 89th Edition of the Know India Programme (KIP), a flagship initiative of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

The Know India Programme (KIP) provides young members of the Indian diaspora with a unique opportunity to reconnect with their roots while experiencing contemporary India's cultural heritage, economic progress, innovation ecosystem, scientific achievements, and developmental journey towards Viksit Bharat @2047.

Programme Dates: 15 September 2026 – 29 September 2026
Application Deadline: 27 August 2026

Eligibility:
Applicants must:

  • Be a Person of Indian Origin (PIO), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), or Non-Resident Indian (NRI).
  • Be aged 18–23 years and participate under the Scholars and Innovators cohort.

Please note: Under the revised KIP Guidelines, NRIs are also eligible to participate in the Programme.

How to Apply:
Interested applicants from Réunion Island are requested to submit their applications to the Consulate General of India, Réunion Island before the deadline.

Documents Required:

  • Duly filled KIP Application Form 2026
  • Copy of Passport valid for at least 6 months and with at least 2 blank pages
  • Copy of PIO/OCI/NRI Card, if available
  • Educational Qualification Certificate
  • Passport-size coloured photograph

Application Process:
Applicants are requested to download the KIP Application Form 2026 and send the completed form by email to cons.reunion@mea.gov.in and pic.reunion.mea@mea.gov.in.
